My journey as a professional football player and as a passionate physiotherapist better enables me to understand both the physical and psychological impact of injury. My aim is to give patients the education and support needed to not only overcome their injury, but to also to optimise their body once fully recovered. JASON OSWELL STORY
Within conventional physiotherapy, hands on treatment is often expected. I understand its uses for short term gains.
My vision is to empower patients to be realistic about their injuries, investigate the root of the matter and devise a structured, informative, exercise based plan on how to overcome the injury long term.
I graduated from the University of Salford in 2017 with a first class honours, having worked as an Assistant Physiotherapist in the NHS throughout. My 4 years NHS experience has given me a broad, thorough base knowledge to compliment my expertise within the sporting field.
I have a great passion for sport and my work for numerous sporting specialities includes:
Professional Football Academies Morecambe and Wrexham, Cheshire West Athletics club and The Athlete Factory Chester. I am currently thoroughly enjoying completing a part-time Sports Physiotherapy Masters course from the University of Bath.
Throughout my own sporting career I have been exposed to many injuries and I understand recovery can be a bumpy ride. Times will be tough, but together we will prevail stronger.
